Peter Sheldon has a diverse work experience in the field of physics and education. Peter started their career at Wake Forest University as a Visiting Assistant Professor from August 1995 to July 1996. Peter then moved on to Davidson College, where they held the position of Visiting Assistant Professor from August 1996 to July 1998. In 1998, they joined Randolph College as a Professor of Physics and Engineering and also served as the Director of the Center for Student Research from July 2012 onwards. In 2013, they began working at Educational Testing Service (ETS) as the Chief Reader for the AP Physics Exam.
Peter Sheldon earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Physics and Mathematics from Amherst College in 1989. Peter then went on to complete a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Physics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1989 to 1991. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Physics from the same university, completing their studies from 1991 to 1996.
