Terran Brown

Terran Brown currently holds the position of Executive Director for the NAEP at ETS since June 2022 and has also served as a Senior Strategic Advisor. Prior to this role, Terran Brown was the Vice President of Assessment Design and Development at New Meridian from August 2021 to June 2022. Terran Brown’s extensive experience at ETS includes roles such as Executive Director of Psychometrics, Senior Director of Psychometrics, Director of Psychometrics, Psychometric Manager, and Psychometrician, focusing on psychometric activities, personnel management, and program improvement. Earlier experience includes serving as an Urban Education Research Fellow at the Los Angeles Unified School District and lecturing in statistics at Cal Poly State University. Terran Brown holds a PhD in Education with an emphasis on Quantitative Research Methodology from UC Santa Barbara, an M.S. in Statistics from the University of California, Davis, and a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
