Junaid Akhtar

Junaid Akhtar is an accomplished academic and entrepreneur currently serving as the Content Architect at Educative, Inc., specializing in the Learn to Code vertical since February 2023. As a Co-Founder of ReCompute.pk, Junaid aims to enhance computing science education in Pakistan. Previously, Junaid held an Assistant Professor position at Namal Institute for a decade, teaching various computer science courses and pursuing research in computational sciences and artificial intelligence. A postdoctoral researcher at the University of Virginia, contributions included exploring Peirce's semiotics in computational linguistics. Junaid's academic journey includes a PhD in Evolutionary Computation and multiple publications in esteemed journals, with a foundational role in the RICE lab focused on AI and robotics. Additional teaching experience includes visiting faculty roles at Kinnaird College and Virtual University of Pakistan, alongside early career work in web development at SoftWeb Corporation.
