Karen Mateer

Karen Mateer is an experienced professional currently serving as the Executive Assistant to the President at EDUCAUSE since October 2011. Prior to this role, Karen worked as a Donor Relations Officer at Wheaton College (MA) for a brief period in 2011 and spent eight years as the Assistant Editor for Class Notes in Wheaton Quarterly. Karen's career began at Augsburg College, where a tenure from 1984 to 2001 as a Cataloging/Automation Librarian contributed to a strong foundation in educational and administrative support. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Dakota, a Master of Library Science from the University of Iowa, and a Master of Arts in Library Science from Hamline University.
