John Kor

John Kor has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. John is currently the CTO and Co-founder of Edvisor.io since 2014, where they manage the engineering talent, directs technical solutions, and develops technical strategies. Prior to this, they co-founded and served as the CTO of ESL Explorer from 2012 to 2013, where they were responsible for technical leadership. Before that, they worked as a Consultant at Avanade in 2011. From 2010 to 2011, they were a Team Lead and Web Developer at River Styx Internet, where they managed a team and developed custom e-commerce sites. John started their career as a Software Developer/Junior Lead at airG Inc. from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, they co-founded MySnowBuddy in 2008, where they created a Facebook application, participated in marketing and product design, and focused on user experience.

John Kor completed their education at Simon Fraser University from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Sciences degree in Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering. Prior to that, they attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2003, where they obtained a Computer Systems Technology Diploma with a specialization in Information Systems. Additionally, John Kor has received certifications from Microsoft, including MCTS 70-513: Windows Communication Foundation Development with Microsoft .NET Framework 4 in December 2011, MCTS 70-515: Web Applications Development with Microsoft .NET Framework 4 in November 2011, and MCTS 70-573: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Application Development in September 2011.
