Sadly, most of the people who walk through our doors found that out the hard way. We're not your ordinary law firm. There's a lot of assumptions and myths about estate planning out there. You don't know what you don't know. Our mission is to empower everyone, age 18 to 108, healthy or ill, married or single, wealthy or not, a parent or not, to prepare a complete and appropriate estate plan that is as unique to them as their own fingerprint. Clients who enter our firm are dealing with death and dying in the moment, or are wisely planning for their own death and future care. They want to feel safe and assured they're protected no matter what could happen in the moment, or tomorrow. Our office, and our caring team, reflect our mission of planning and administration, elder care and crisis management with compassion, and advocacy with passion.
With 26 years of experience, Stacey Edwards and her firm are solely devoted to practicing estate and elder law. Our clients range from 18 year olds who need powers of attorney, healthcare directives and beneficiary designations, to 45 year olds securing a legacy for their young family, to elderly clients in a medical crisis who never before contemplated how to pay for long term care, let alone prepare an estate plan. We think outside the box and turn over every piece of our clients' puzzles in our consultations. We educate and empower our clients to plan for mortality. We strive to assure them that their written wishes for who inherits their stuff are enforceable, but also the more important stuff: who cares for them and how they are cared for in a crisis, dying with dignity, and who will manage their money and obligations. We manage health crises, unexpected death, and vulnerable elder conditions. And in estate or family disputes, we advocate fiercely for the vulnerable elderly, caregivers, beneficiaries, Executors, Trustees, or other fiduciaries who are taken for granted, or worse, taken advantage of.
