Alan M. Garber, M.D., Ph.D., is Provost of Harvard University and the Mallinckrodt Professor of Health Care Policy at Harvard Medical School, a Professor of Economics in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Professor of Public Policy in the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management in the Harvard School of Public Health. Before becoming the Provost at Harvard, he was a professor of medicine and of economics at Stanford University, where he taught at the medical and business schools and directed the Center for Health Policy and the Center for Primary Care and Outcomes Research.
