David Ferris is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in environmental and energy reporting. Currently serving as a Reporter for E&E News since January 2014, Ferris focuses on the transformative impact of electric vehicles on American life. Previous roles include Columnist for Sierra Magazine, where Ferris wrote the "Innovate" technology column, and Blogger for Forbes, exploring the business of energy and climate change. Ferris has contributed freelance articles to respected publications such as The New York Times and Smithsonian. With a strong background in editorial leadership as Managing Editor for Matter Network and previous writing positions at Contra Costa Times and Fremont Argus, Ferris combines a deep understanding of journalism with a commitment to environmental issues. Ferris holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Communication from UC San Diego.
