Simon Woodhead, PhD has worked in the field of education since 2006. In that time, they have held various roles with Eastmond Publishing Ltd, Barton Woodhead Education Limited, and Eedi.

At Eastmond Publishing Ltd, they served as Development Director from 2006 to 2014. In this role, they created dynamic visualisations of mathematical concepts using ActionScript3, which were subsequently used in key marketing material.

From 2014 to 2016, they were Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Barton Woodhead Education Limited. During this time, they developed a minimum viable product which allowed them to raise seed funding and created Diagnostic Questions.

Since 2016, they have been Chief Data Scientist and Co-Founder at Eedi. In this role, they have designed the data architecture to facilitate efficient querying, resulting in an award-winning data set. Simon has also managed all data science projects to support business and product development using Python, SQL, and Azure.

Simon Woodhead, PhD has a long and varied educational history. Simon began their studies in 1998, earning a Bsc Mathematics from the University of Bristol in 2001. Simon then completed a Postgraduate Module in Stress Analysis of Lightweight Structures from the University of the West of England in 2002. Simon proceeded to receive their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bayesian Calibration of Flood Inundation Models from the University of Bristol in 2006. In addition, they have obtained seven certifications from Coursera between 2018 and 2019, including Building a Data Science Team, Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Structuring Machine Learning Projects.
