Marcia Poletti has over 25 years of experience in the energy sector. Marcia began their career in 1993 as a Business Analyst at BellSouth. Marcia then moved to Australian Consulting Partners in 1996 as a Consultant. In 1999, they became a Management Consultant at McKinsey and Company, where they focused on strategic/organisational issues in industry and non-profit sectors. In 2004, they joined HM Treasury as a Team Leader. In 2009, they were a Strategy Manager at the Office of Fair Trading. From 2012 to 2017, they were a Deputy Director of Energy Systems and Head of Demand Policy, Green Deal at the Department of Energy and Climate Change. In 2017, they joined Ofgem as a Strategy Deputy Director and RIIO2 Policy and Network Strategy Deputy Director. In 2022, they will become a Non Executive Director at Eelpower and Head of European System Change at Octopus Energy.
Marcia Poletti has a long and varied educational history. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Fellow at the Centre for Science and Policy at the University of Cambridge, where they studied Public Policy. In 1998, they earned an MBA (Deans List) from INSEAD. Finally, from 1988 to 1990, they earned a B.E. (Hons) in Engineering Science from The University of Auckland.
