Mark Leach

Mark Leach is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data analytics and social scientific research. Currently serving as the Director of the Data Analytics Division at the EEOC, Mark provides strategic oversight and expert advice on modernizing data collections and evidence-based decision making. Prior to this, Mark held significant roles at the U.S. Census Bureau, where responsibilities included managing diverse research teams and improving methodologies for immigration estimates. Mark has also contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor at Penn State University and Southern Illinois University, focusing on migration and socioeconomic inequality. With a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from California Polytechnic State University and a Ph.D. in Sociology from UC Irvine, Mark has a robust academic foundation complemented by hands-on experience in marketing analysis and statistical consulting with notable companies.
