Reed Saunders

Reed Saunders has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Reed is currently working as a Backend Engineer at both Vecteezy and Eezy since 2020. In 2017, they worked remotely as a Ruby on Rails Developer for FlashVote, where they built new features and fixed bugs for several applications. Prior to that, they served as a Mentor at Trilogy Education in 2019, teaching students how to build web applications using Ruby on Rails and JavaScript. Reed also worked as a Ruby on Rails Developer at KeepOnMovin' from 2015 to 2017. Before transitioning into the tech industry, they had experience as a Bilingual Interviewer at Battelle, a Bilingual Information and Resources Specialist at Crisis Clinic, and an Organizer at SEIU Healthcare 1199NW and SEIU 775NW. In these roles, Reed developed leadership skills, led union campaigns, and implemented collaborative training programs.

Reed Saunders attended Code Fellows for a Ruby on Rails Development Accelerator program in 2014. Prior to that, they studied Political Science at The Evergreen State College from 2001 to 2004 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in the field.
