Erwin van Vliet

Erwin van Vliet has a diverse work experience in the field of photonics and electrical engineering. Erwin is currently employed at EFFECT Photonics as a Principal R&D Engineer, where they have been working since January 2022. Prior to this role, they held the position of Manager Test & Measurement Group at the same company from June 2016 to January 2022. Erwin also worked as a Photonics Engineer at EFFECT Photonics from January 2015 to June 2016.

Before joining EFFECT Photonics, Erwin worked at Eindhoven University of Technology. Erwin served as a Graduate Photonic Integration from December 2013 to October 2014, conducting research on optimized designs for Multimode Interference (MMI) couplers. Erwin also worked as a Trainee Photonic Integration from April 2013 to November 2013, researching optical waveguide crossings and verifying simulation results through testing.

Erwin's earlier work experience includes the role of Secretary at Communicatiedispuut ODIN, where they served on the 28th board from June 2012 to September 2013. Erwin also worked as an Electrical Engineer at Prodrive B.V., specializing in hardware design and high-speed interfaces from July 2011 to August 2013. Erwin started their career as a Trainee at NXP Semiconductors in the Automotive department, where they focused on the hardware and software development of an application board for testing ICs of the LIN Automotive bus system from February 2009 to June 2009.

Erwin van Vliet pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN) from 2009 to 2012. Following this, they proceeded to obtain a Master of Science degree in Photonic Integration from Eindhoven University of Technology between 2011 and 2014.
