Rob Groenen's work experience begins with a role as Assistant-accountant at Joanknecht & Van Zelst from February 2010 to July 2012. Rob then worked as an Assistant-accountant at Crowe Horwath Foederer from February 2013 to November 2014.

Moving on, Rob joined EY as a Staff Accountant in December 2014, and stayed until September 2016. Rob then returned to Crowe Horwath Foederer, this time as Experienced Assistant Accountant / Relationship Manager from October 2016 to October 2018.

Rob then worked as a Financial Controller at EFFECT Photonics from November 2018 to December 2022. Afterwards, they took over the role of Manager Controlling at the same company starting in January 2023.

Rob Groenen has a diverse education history. Rob started their academic journey in 2003 at Pius X College, where they focused on completing their Havo degree. After five years, they moved on to Avans University of Applied Sciences, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy through a dual study program. This program lasted from 2008 to 2013. Rob then continued their education at Nyenrode Business University, where they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Accountancy, completing their studies in 2017. Most recently, in 2022, Rob enrolled at TIAS School for Business and Society to pursue an RC EMFC Executive Master of Finance & Control - Register Controller, which they are expected to complete by 2023.
