Denis Patrick

Denis Patrick is currently the Vice President of Emerging Science & Innovation and Managing Partner at Pfizer Ventures, where they also lead External R&D Innovation for the Oncology Research Unit. Prior to their role at Pfizer, Denis held positions as Director of Oncology Scientific Licensing and Director of Oncology Biology R&D at GlaxoSmithKline from 2002 to 2010. They gained early experience as an Associate Director at DuPont Pharmaceuticals, establishing key laboratory facilities and directing protein chemistry projects from 1999 to 2001. Denis's career in cancer research began at Merck, where they worked as a Research Fellow from 1988 to 1999. They have also served on the boards of multiple therapeutic companies since 2019 and earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania from 1990 to 1993.
