Josh Dirsmith

VP, Public Sector at Effectual

Josh Dirsmith is the Vice President of Public Sector at Effectual. Josh has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on program management and service delivery.

Josh began their career as a Program Executive at Dell, where they managed and coordinated complex system deployments and installations for multiple DOJ components. Josh also served as the Lead Federal Services Architect, facilitating service proposal response activities for Federal RFx pursuits. During their time at Dell, Josh won several major initiatives, including the FBI UVDI Contract Award, NASA SEWP V Contract Award, and DOJ ITSS-IV Contract Award.

In 2013, Josh joined JHC Technology as Vice President. In this role, they oversaw the hiring of Service Delivery Managers and Delivery Managers, and was responsible for the implementation of JHC’s technical engagement process. Josh also facilitated proposal response activities for Federal RFP pursuits and provided formal training to JHC employees and customers in ITIL® concepts.

Josh has been with Effectual for two years and six months, and is currently responsible for overseeing the company’s public sector engagements. Under their leadership, Effectual has won several major contracts, including the FBI IT Triple S Contract Award and the US Marshal Service Client Deployment contract.

Josh Dirsmith has a Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University in Management Information Systems and International Business. Josh is also an Accredited ITIL Instructor and ITIL Expert from EXIN and APMG. Additionally, they are a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Security from Microsoft. Finally, they have a Security+ certification from CompTIA.
