Michael de Rooij

Vice President of Applications at Efficient Power Conversion

Michael de Rooij has had an extensive work experience in the field of applications engineering and power electronics. Michael started their career at IMV as a Senior Designer from 1998 to 2000. Michael then joined GE Global Research as a Senior Engineer and later became a Senior Power Electronics Engineer from 2002 to 2008. After that, they worked at Windspire Energy as the Director of Product Development from 2009 to 2010. Currently, they are working at Efficient Power Conversion, where they have held various roles such as Senior Director of Applications Engineering from 2011 to 2012, Executive Director of Applications Engineering from 2013, and Vice President of Applications since 2015.

Michael de Rooij attended the University of Johannesburg from 1988 to 1998, where they obtained a D.Eng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Michael also briefly attended Virginia Tech from 2000 to 2001, but no specific degree or field of study information is available for this period.
