In 2015, John joined Chiron Health - A Medici Company as an iPhone Developer. John played a crucial role in building and maintaining the iPhone app for Chiron Health's telemedicine business. During their time at Chiron Health, the company was acquired by Medici in August 2019.

From 2012 to 2014, John worked at ThredUp as the Lead Mobile Engineer. John led a team in building the second generation iPhone app, which resulted in a significant increase in revenue for the company. ThredUp later went public in March 2021.

Before that, in 2012, John worked as an iPhone App Consultant, where they developed and released two iPhone apps from scratch, including a multiplayer board game and a document scanning + OCR app.

John's career started at Jiff Inc in 2010, where they were one of the founding engineers. In just one year, they helped the company secure $7.5 million of VC funding, starting from the first line of code.

In 2007, John began their professional journey at Orbitz Worldwide as a Software Engineer. John was responsible for building and maintaining backend systems used for booking airline tickets, including integrations with legacy airline booking systems such as Amadeus, Galileo, and Apollo.

John Beck attended Michigan Technological University from 2002 to 2006, where they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering. The field of study they focused on was also Computer Engineering.
