Paddy Ryan

Paddy Ryan currently serves as the Managing Editor at EFI Foundation, a position held since October 2025. Prior to this role, Paddy worked as a Senior Writer/Editor at the UC Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation (IGCC) from December 2023 to October 2025. Experience also includes positions at the Atlantic Council where Paddy was the Assistant Director for European Energy Security and Editor of EnergySource from August 2021 to December 2023, as well as a Program Assistant in the same area. Earlier roles include Editor at Global Risk Insights in 2021 and a Young Global Professional at the Atlantic Council. Additional experience includes Europe Editor at Federal Network, Inc., a Writer role at The Spectator, and serving as a New Student Advisor at UCLA. Paddy holds a Master of Science with Merit in Theory and History of International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in History and Philosophy from UCLA.
