Stephen Comello

Stephen Comello is a Senior Vice President at the EFI Foundation and a lecturer in management while also directing the Energy Business Innovations focus area at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. They are a senior research fellow at the Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy, Policy and Finance, and serve as a techno-economic and policy lead for Stanford University's Bits & Watts Initiative and StorageX Initiative. Stephen has held various advisory and research roles, including positions at Carbon Direct, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, and Energy Web Foundation, and they consult globally for both private and public organizations. Their research emphasizes innovation and competitiveness in low-carbon energy solutions through the application of finance, economics, and systems analysis. Stephen is currently pursuing a PhD in Civil & Environmental Engineering and Management Science & Engineering at Stanford University.
