Niko Herold has a strong background in sales and business development. Niko started their career as a Sales Manager at Tele-yritysverkot Oy in 2010 and then moved on to Wextra Oy as a Sales Manager in 2011. Niko joined Telia Company in 2012, where they held various roles including Account Manager, Key Account Manager, and Customer Lead. In 2014, they became a Sales Executive at Telia Company and later transitioned to the role of Sales Director at Tieto in 2017. From 2018 onwards, Niko worked at Eficode, first as the Vice President International Operations and then as the Vice President Partner Growth, overseeing partner growth and sales activities globally. Niko has demonstrated expertise in building partnerships, developing go-to-market strategies, and driving business growth.

Niko Herold has a diverse education history. In 2001, they obtained a Vocational Qualification in Information and Telecommunications, Electronics Assembler from an unspecified institution. Niko then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree at Xamk - South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences from 2006 to 2010, with a focus on marketing. During their undergraduate studies, Niko also attended De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences for the 2008-2009 academic year, working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree.

After completing their bachelor's degree, Niko pursued a Master's Degree Programme in Business Informatics, specializing in Business informatics, from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences between 2013 and 2015. Additionally, in 2014-2015, they earned a Specialist Qualification in Management at MJK-Institute.

In terms of additional certifications, Niko has obtained various credentials in different areas. Most recently, in 2023, they received the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals and Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals certifications from Microsoft. In 2022, they obtained the Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager certification from Scaled Agile, Inc., and the ITSM Sales Professional Accreditation from Atlassian. In the same year, they also earned the ITIL 4 Foundation Certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Earlier certifications include Google Cloud Sales Credentials from Google in 2021, and Agile at Scale Technical Sales Professional, Cloud Sales Professional, and Cloud Technical Sales Professional from Atlassian in 2021.
