Kara P.

Kara P. has a long and varied work experience. Kara began their career as a Field Engineer and Software Engineer at MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates Limited in 1999. Kara then went on to pursue a Graduate Student role at The University of British Columbia in 2000. In 2003, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Actel. From 2006 to 2012, they were a Member of Technical Staff, Design Automation Engineer at Altera. During this time, they developed methodology and CAD tools for IC design verification, analyzed design flow, and evaluated and integrated commercial tools. Kara also had working knowledge of Python, Perl, TCL, Verilog, C/C++, Spice, Skill, Matlab, and hardware architectures of Cyclone and Stratix products. Kara coordinated cross-functional projects that involved design, test, softwares, and design automation departments. Her highlight projects included a Data Management Project and a Full-Chip Connectivity Verification. Kara then moved on to become a Software Engineer at Efinix, Inc. in 2012.

Kara P. obtained a Master degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of British Columbia between 2000 and 2002.
