Joel Vicente

Joel Vicente is a professional with extensive experience in digital reporting and taxation. Currently serving as a member of the EFRAG Digital Reporting Community since June 2023, Joel focuses on sustainability reporting and the ESRS XBRL taxonomy. As a member of the IFRS Taxonomy Consultative Group since March 2020, Joel reviews the IFRS Taxonomy to ensure compliance with market standards and provides guidance on financial reporting ontology. In addition, Joel has been an XBRL Senior Consultant at CoreFiling since January 2006, contributing to the development and improvement of taxonomies. Previous roles include XBRL Researcher and Developer at the IFRS Foundation and Assistant Professor at the University of East Timor. Joel holds a Master's Degree in Informatics from Universidade do Minho and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, among other academic qualifications.
