Suraj Mathew

Suraj Mathew is a mechanical design engineer with extensive experience in battery thermal management systems and hardware design for cutting-edge technology. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at EFT Mobility since June 2025, Suraj focuses on developing advanced battery and charging systems. Prior to this role, Suraj worked at Lilium as a Mechanical Design Engineer, responsible for the design and validation of the battery pack thermal management system for the Pegasus prototype aircraft. Additional experience includes a tenure at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India, where Suraj contributed to the Mercedes Benz Electric Architecture platform. Suraj began professional development in vehicle design and documentation with Team Saenieks and completed an internship at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, enhancing productivity in the assembly line. Suraj holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The National Institute of Engineering, Mysuru.
