Elena Gervasio

Elena Gervasio has worked in various roles in the hospitality and HR tech industries since 2009. Elena began their career as a Tourism Support Officer at Formez in 2010, where they provided assistance in Mandarin, English and Italian to foreign and Italian tourists in Italy. Elena then joined Hilton Worldwide in 2012 as a Sales Executive and Elevator Graduate Management Trainee. During their time there, they implemented projects such as an HHonors focus project and increase of the F&B revenue across the hotel, as well as a China focus marketing project and Social Media management and promotional activity. In 2014, they joined The Hoxton as a Corporate Sales Manager, where they successfully launched the new Hoxton property, The Hoxton Holborn, within the Corporate and Events markets. Elena was then promoted to Head of Corporate Sales. In 2017, they joined HRS Group as a Key Account Manager - New Business. Most recently, in 2018, they joined Eggup as Global Sales Director and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). In their role as Business Development Manager, they were responsible for helping companies to leverage soft skills and analyze individual and team's soft skills in order to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Elena Gervasio has a diverse educational history. Elena obtained their Secondary School Degree from Liceo Classico in 2003-2008, with an emphasis on humanities. Elena then attended La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Oriental Languages and Cultures from 2003-2008. During this time, they also completed a 1-semester University Course in Intensive Chinese Language at Beijing Foreign Studies University in 2008, and a 1-year University Course in Intensive Chinese Language at Zhejiang University in 2005-2006. Elena also attended a Summer School at Berkhamsted School in 2000 to complete an English Course. Finally, they obtained a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate from TEFL Org UK in 2018, and a HSK Chinese Language Proficiency Test certificate from Zhejiang University.
