Gerben Vaessen

Gerben Vaessen is a medical professional with a strong academic background and diverse experience in the healthcare field. Having completed a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Gerben gained practical experience as a Junior Triagist at Medrie and worked as a Junior and Senior co-assistant at Martini Ziekenhuis. Additionally, Gerben held positions as a PhD candidate in gastrointestinal oncology at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek and a Semi-arts and Arts-assistant in the MDL department at Noordwest Ziekenhuisgroep. Gerben also contributed to the International Student Congress of (bio)Medical Sciences and participated in various roles at Doktersdienst Groningen, showcasing a commitment to both practical medical practice and academic research.
