Hester Oldenburg

Hester Oldenburg serves as the Chair of the Department of Surgery and is an oncological surgeon specializing in breast cancer. With a robust background including a surgical residency at VUmc and a research fellowship at Cornell University, Hester has held various leadership positions, including Head of the Breast Surgery Department and member of the Medical Staff Board at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek. Hester is also an accomplished author, having co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles and written books focused on breast cancer care. Currently, Hester is active in education and advocacy, coordinating oncology surgery courses and serving on advisory boards for cancer-related organizations.
