Michael Townsend

Michael Townsend is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in solutions engineering and technical support across various organizations, currently serving as Senior Director of Solutions Engineering at Egnyte since October 2015. In this role, Michael ensures successful technical alignments with customers, facilitating business solutions that enhance product deployment and retention in a SaaS environment. Additionally, Michael is an active member of the PreSales Collective and Sales Engineers of New York, focused on community development for PreSales professionals. Previously held positions include Solutions Engineer at Alfresco and Senior Systems Engineer at EMC, along with technical roles at George Washington University and federal contracting environments. Michael holds an M.S. in Systems Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Operations and Information Systems Management from Penn State University.
