Chris Smitt is currently the Australian Managing Director for EHS Support Pty Ltd and a principal hydrogeologist with over 20 years of experience in both the private and public sectors across Australia, North America, and the Middle East. Chris graduated with a degree in Physics and Earth Science, majoring in Hydrogeology and Geophysics during their honours year at Flinders University of South Australia in 2000. They began their career at CSIRO Land & Water, developing a large-scale 3D numerical model to predict surface water and groundwater interactions in complex basaltic aquifers. Since 2006, Chris has played a critical role in the delivery of various complex projects, including those related to oil and gas resource development and mine rehabilitation, while also serving as an expert witness for various assessments.
