Umaira A. is a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology with a specialty in Obesity and Maternal Medicine at EHS RAK, where they also serve as Deputy Director of Diabetes Standardization. They previously held positions as Diabetes Inpatient Lead and Governance Lead at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust and worked as a Clinical Fellow and Specialist Registrar at various NHS trusts. Umaira earned a Master's in Clinical Diabetes from the University of Warwick and has extensive experience in diabetes care, education, and clinical governance. Additionally, they are the Secretary General of PSIM UAE and the Communication Director for the ADA DM & CVS International Group.
