Jon Black

Jon Black is an experienced engineering professional specializing in controls engineering for mission-critical applications, currently serving as a Controls Engineering Manager at Ehvert Mission Critical, a Salas O’Brien Company, since October 2025. Prior to this role, Jon held various positions at AlfaTech, including Senior Controls Engineer and Controls Engineer-Mission Critical, focusing on the design and delivery of construction documents for hyper-scale data centers. Earlier experience includes roles at CBRE | ESI as a Project Designer, Siemens as a Control Systems Programmer and Systems Engineer, and ATS Automation, Inc. as a Project Engineer. Jon began the career as an Engineering Intern at AirClean Energy and has a background in production at Nintendo. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechatronics from the University of Washington and an Associate of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bellevue College.
