Vincent Mottier

Vincent Mottier has a diverse background in various industries, particularly in the field of water management and utilities. Vincent currently works as a Business Development Executive at ei3, where they help clients implement Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. Prior to this role, Vincent worked at IBM for several years, holding positions such as Global Offering Manager for APM in the Energy & Utilities sector and Global Offering Manager for Water Solutions. During their time at IBM, Vincent led the development of a digital platform for water and wastewater utilities in collaboration with Veolia. Vincent also served as a Cognitive Solutions Consultant and Lead Water Management expert, providing specialized know-how and support to technical sales and delivery teams. Vincent's earlier experience includes roles at T-Systems Switzerland, where they were Head of Portfolio & Offering Management, as well as a Research Analyst and Geomarketing Analyst. Vincent also worked as a Research Assistant at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne and as a Research Engineer at EAWAG, focusing on various water-related projects. Throughout their career, Vincent has demonstrated expertise in IoT, water management, and consulting services.

Vincent Mottier has an extensive education history. Vincent obtained their Ph.D. in Urban Water Management, GIS, Data Management, and Software Engineering from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) between 1997 and 2001. Prior to that, they pursued a Certificate in Advanced Business Administration from the University of Lausanne - UNIL from 1997 to 2000.

In 1992 and 1993, Vincent pursued a Masters of Science degree in Hydrology from the University of Montpellier. Before that, they completed their Masters in Rural Engineering with a specialization in Environmental Engineering from EPFL between 1986 and 1992.
