John Potts is a highly experienced engineering professional specializing in heavy lift operations. Currently serving as Principal Engineer - Heavy Lift at EIC Activities Pty Ltd, a member of the CIMIC Group, since January 2015, John has built a solid career in the field. Previously, John held the position of Senior Heavy Lift Engineer at John Holland from November 2011 to January 2015 and worked as Qld State Project Engineer at Boom from January 2010 to November 2011. John began their career as a Project Engineer at Mammoet, where John worked from March 2005 to February 2010. John Potts earned a 1st Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northumbria University (2001 - 2005) and a Master's Degree in Engineering from The Open University.
EIC Activities
EIC Activities is CIMIC Group’s engineering business. It provides specialist design, technical support, research and technology for Group projects and enhances the Group’s ability to mitigate and manage risk. EIC Activities delivers solutions, capability and innovation in the disciplines of infrastructure, industrial, building and specialist design for projects tendered and delivered by the Group. EIC Activities supports its capability through other technical groups within the ACS Group, including HOCHTIEF, Dragados and Turner. The EIC name stands for Engineering, Innovation and Capability.
