Eight Capital was set up in 2005 as a crossover fund, the firm has managed AUM of $650MM managed by an 11 member investment team based in San Francisco, Connecticut and Mumbai. It has a 19 year track record of investing in tech startups and in credit opportunities across the capital structure of companies.

Eight Capital's first fund was launched in 2005, anchored by J.P. Morgan and other institutional investors. It has a proven track record in early stage startups, distressed credit, litigation funding, etc. It exited its distressed business to its JV partner, J.C. Flowers & Co. in 2021. It currently focuses on investing in Y Combinator startups through its demo day funds.
