Baldvin Thorsteinsson

Baldvin Thorsteinsson is the current Chairman of the Board at Eimskip. Prior to their current position, Baldvin Thorsteinsson worked as a Technical Supervisor at DONG Energy from June 2011 to October 2015. In this role, they oversaw construction activities in terms of schedules, quality, and compliance of the work. From June 2005 to September 2008, Baldvin Thorsteinsson worked as a Marine Engineer for various companies. In this role, they were responsible for the day-to-day running of a large engine room, preventive work according to a maintenance plan, and being responsive during fault situations.

Baldvin Thorsteinsson has a M.Sc in Electrical Engineering from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, and is a Marine Engineer, Class 1. with a specialization in mechanichal and electrical engineering from the Marine Engineering collage of Iceland. Baldvin also has certification from the International Maritime Organization in Chief Engineer III/2 STCW95 and from the Ministry of Industry in Journeyman´s Certificate in Industrial Mechanics.
