Óskar Borg

Óskar Borg has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Óskar started their career as a Sales Manager at G.Helgason & Melsted from 1988 to 1993. Óskar then worked as a Sales Manager at Allied Domecq spirits & Wine from 1994 to 1997. Following that, they served as the General Manager at Deiglan - Áman from 1997 to 1999. Óskar then joined Iceland State Trading Centre (Ríkiskaup) as a Marketing Manager from 1999 to 2005. After that, they worked at Alcoa in various roles, including Procurement Manager from 2005 to 2015 and Alcoa Program Commodity Management - Commodity Lead from 2015 to 2016. Currently, they are associated with Eimskip as a Senior Manager in Container Operations since 2016. In this role, they are responsible for leading and managing the container operations of Eimskip container liner service across Europe, the east coast of the USA, and Canada. Óskar handles the coordination of equipment related to the container fleet, including cargo and repositioning of empty equipment. Additionally, they have also held the position of Senior Manager in Business Development/CEO office at Eimskip from 2016 to 2019.

Óskar Borg completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics at Indiana University Bloomington from 1984 to 1987. Óskar then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance, General, from Háskóli Íslands from 2000 to 2002.
