The Einstein Foundation Berlin is an independent, science-led non-profit institution founded in 2009 by the State of Berlin. Our mission is to promote science and research at the highest international level and to strengthen Berlin's position as a leading center for scientists, researchers, and academics.

To ensure the highest standards, all our funded projects are selected by a distinguished, independent scientific commission. We support Berlin's top-tier research by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across a wide range of disciplines, from the humanities and social sciences to the natural sciences and medicine. Our diverse funding programs, available for researchers from the postdoctoral level onwards, are designed to strengthen Berlin's unique research ecosystem.

On a global stage, our prestigious #EinsteinFoundationAward honors outstanding contributions to research quality from scientists and institutions worldwide, connecting the international scientific community. We also share insights into the latest discoveries through our annual #AlbertJournal and various scientific events in Berlin and online.
