Cathal Marley

Cathal Marley is the Chief Executive Officer of EirGrid Group. They also serve as the Chancellor of Dublin City University (DCU) and the Chairperson of Swim Ireland. They previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Gas Networks Ireland & Ervia from 2019 to 2025 and held senior financial and leadership roles at ESB, including Head of Group Treasury & Investor Relations and Group Financial Controller, with board roles at Ervia and Irish Water. Marley earned an MBA from Michael Smurfit Business School, UCD, and held a Diploma from the Institute of Directors.
