Des Cox

Des Cox has over a decade of experience in the planning and environmental sector, currently serving as the Planning Environmental and Consents Lead at EirGrid since June 2010. Previous roles at EirGrid include Senior Co-ordinator for Public Planning & Consents, Senior Planning Consultant and Lead for Transmission Projects, Interim Head of Programme Delivery, and Team Lead for Programme Delivery and Integration within the Programme Management Office. Before joining EirGrid, Des Cox was the Operational Director at RPS Planning Dublin from 2007 to 2010 and held the position of Senior Inspector at An Bord Pleanála from 2004 to 2007. Education credentials include a BA Mod in Geography and Sociology from Trinity College Dublin, a MRUP in Planning from University College Dublin, and a Certificate in Strategic Environmental Assessment from Oxford Brookes University.
