Gary Allen has extensive experience in cybersecurity and IT infrastructure, currently serving as the Head of Enterprise Security (CISO) at EirGrid Group since October 2008, while also holding roles as Principal Cyber Security Architect, IT Infrastructure Manager, and Database Manager. Prior to EirGrid, Gary worked at IBM as an IT Infrastructure Architect for a brief period in 2008 and at O2 Ireland as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator from 2006 to 2008. Gary began the career at Oracle, progressing from Associate Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer between 2000 and 2006. Academic credentials include an MSc in Management from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and a BSc in Information Technology from Dublin City University.
