John Moody has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. In 2002, they founded their own company called John Moody Risk Management and Governance Solutions, where they specialize in developing customized solutions for clients to improve their governance and resilience capabilities. Prior to starting their own company, they worked as the Deputy Head of Internal Audit at the City of York Council from 1984 to 1997. John then joined Arthur Andersen & Co. as a Deputy Director, where they developed the Internal Audit and Risk Management Practice for Local Government and Government in London. In 2003, they joined KPMG Advisory as the Director of Internal Audit and Risk Management, responsible for building the risk management and internal audit service in Ireland. Currently, John also holds positions at the Health Service Executive as a Member of the Audit and Risk Committee, and at EirGrid Group as the Interim Head of Internal Audit. Throughout their career, John has gained deep experience and a proven track record in strategic planning, internal audit, compliance, and risk management.

John Moody attended Leeds Beckett University from 1993 to 1996, where they pursued a degree in Accountancy and Finance. John completed the CIPFA program during their time at the university.
