Shane Cooney

Shane Cooney is an experienced professional in project management and engineering, currently serving as an Onshore Project Manager at EirGrid since August 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Project Engineer at PM Group from February 2016 to August 2021 and Consultant Engineer at ESB International from October 2007 to January 2016. Earlier in his career, Shane worked as a Consultant Engineer at Mott MacDonald and as Operations Team Leader at RWE npower, focusing on power plant operations. Shane began his career at Siemens, working as a Commissioning/Process Engineer from September 1999 to November 2005 on power generation projects. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Munster Technological University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Project Management from University College Cork.
