Caroline Chen

Caroline Chen is a Senior Counsel in Intellectual Property at Eisai US since 2021, having previously held the position of Associate Senior Counsel in the same department. Prior to Eisai, Caroline served as Intellectual Property Manager at UM Ventures, University of Maryland from 2018 to 2021, where responsibilities included managing the IP portfolio, advising on patent strategies, and overseeing patent prosecution. Caroline's earlier experience includes positions at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP as an Associate specializing in life sciences, and as a Patent Agent/Technical Specialist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Caroline began a career in medicinal chemistry with roles at Neurocrine Biosciences and Corvas International, and holds a JD from The George Washington University Law School, a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Chemistry from National Taiwan University.
