Jo Vandercappellen

Jo Vandercappellen, PhD MBA, serves as the Senior Global Medical Director for Alzheimer's Disease Medical Evidence Generation at Eisai US since August 2022. Vandercappellen is a member of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, focusing on promoting gender parity in healthcare leadership. Previous experience includes roles at Novartis as Global Medical Affairs Director for Neuroscience and at Teva Pharmaceuticals spanning various positions related to multiple sclerosis and migraine treatment, including leadership in medical launches and strategic business planning. Prior to these roles, Vandercappellen worked as a Global Project Manager at PPD and conducted post-doctoral research at KU Leuven in immunology and oncology, yielding multiple publications and conference participations. Academic qualifications include an Executive MBA from Vlerick Business School, a PhD in Immunology-Oncology from KU Leuven, and a Master's in Bioscience Engineering.
