John Davis

John Davis has been in the IT security industry for over 20 years. Theirwork experience began in 1999 as a Cable Specialist at O.B. One Communications. From 2001 to 2005, they worked as an Infrastructure Operations Project Leader at Honeywell Aerospace. From 2005 to 2009, they held the same role at Global Software. From 2009 to 2013, they were a Security Analyst at BlueCross BlueShield of SC. During this time, they also worked as a Security Architect at the SC Department of Revenue from 2013 to 2017. In 2017, they became the Business Owner of Cavorn Security and the Director of Security Consulting at EITS, Enterprise IT Security. In 2019, they co-founded Palmetto Cyber Pros.

John Davis obtained a BS in Computer Science from Clemson University between 1999 and 2004. John has since obtained a variety of certifications, including CrowdStrike Certified Falcon Responder (CCFR) from CrowdStrike in July 2020, Gigamon GigaTECH from Gigamon in June 2020, Magnet Certified Forensic Examiner (MCFE) from Magnet Forensics in June 2020, Palo Alto Networks Accredited Systems Engineer - Cortex Associate (PSE: Cortex - A) from Palo Alto Networks in May 2020, Varonis Certified Delivery Partner Engineer from Varonis in April 2020, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) from GIAC Certifications in May 2019, Nessus Certificate of Proficiency from Tenable in September 2017, Security Center Certificate of Proficiency from Tenable in September 2017, GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) from GIAC in May 2016, Palo Alto Accredited Configuration Engineer from Palo Alto Networks in September 2015, Certified Ethical Hacker from EC-Council in May 2013, Certified Network Defense Architect from EC-Council in May 2013, and Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional: Server Administrator, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist from Microsoft.
