Derek Karimoto

Derek Karimoto, PE, QSD, is the Director of Engineering at EKN Engineering, a position held since 2015, and previously served as the Director of Engineering at N Consulting Engineers from 2015 to 2025. They have extensive experience in leadership roles, including Engineering Director at CivilSource, Inc., and Construction Design Manager at Flatiron Contractors. Additionally, Derek held the position of Vice President of the Stormwater Division at PACE from 1993 to 2009 and worked as a Senior Project Manager at IDS Group, Inc. from 2010 to 2014. They earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from California State University, Long Beach, between 1979 and 1983.
