Andrew Waters

Andrew Waters has over 10 years of professional experience in the software engineering industry. Andrew began their career in 2007 as a student and student network assistant at UNC Charlotte. In 2010, they interned at the FAA, where they assisted the Security Analytics Team in implementation of an Incident Ticketing System. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as an Information Security Engineer at MITRE, where they were responsible for Security audition compliance and accreditation of Software and Hardware components, as well as the design and maintenance of an Army Communication Network. In 2014, they joined AvidXchange, Inc. as an Associate Software Engineer, where they were a key contributor in the agile development process to assist in design and build out of a SAAS web application. In 2015, they worked as a Senior .NET MVC Developer - Consultant at Bank of America, where they were a major contributor in agile development process in building out a Law, Rule, and Regulation management software. In 2016, they joined Ally as a Senior Fullstack .Net Developer. From 2017 to 2022, they worked as a Principal Software Engineer at SentryOne. Andrew is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Ekos.

Andrew Waters attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Software and Information Systems degree with a focus in Information Assurance.
