Abdelkarim M. has a long history of working in various industries. Abdelkarim began their career in 2010 as a Corporate Business Development & Investments professional for OCI NV, a global producer of hydrogen-based products. In 2011, they became a Data Analysis Instructor for the Policy Department of The Central Bank of Egypt. From 2013 to 2017, Abdelkarim worked as a Senior Project Developer/Project Manager for Orascom Construction Ltd. During this time, they had project management and P/L responsibilities for Orascom Construction USA’s largest project in the US and Pacific part of Hawaii’s Airport Modernization Program. In 2017, they co-founded Eksab. In 2018, Abdelkarim was appointed by the Governor of Virginia to be a Trustee of the Board of Trustees for GENEDGE. In this role, they chaired the Compensation Committee and was a member of the Executive Committee. Abdelkarim focuses on technologies including machine learning, robotics, sensors, additive manufacturing, modularization, materials, wearable technologies, industrial cybersecurity, and process technologies.

Abdelkarim M. received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Duke University between 2009 and 2013. Abdelkarim then obtained a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School between 2019 and 2020.
