Brad Factor has been working in the engineering industry since 2008. Brad began their career as a Boeing 787 Flight Controls Systems Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace. During their time there, they worked on the Comac C919 Flight Controls program, and moved to the Electronic Systems Engineering & Applications organization, where they received formal training in avionics fundamentals, Honeywell Aerospace electronic products, certification regulations and processes, and ground school for visual and instrument flight. In 2013, Brad Factor founded Factor Mechatronics, an LLC to research and develop a total immersion virtual reality system. Brad created a concept combining a full-body haptic exoskeleton, actively controlled multi-axis gimbals, and a helmet-integrated display. In 2016, they became a Master of Science Robotic Systems Development Student at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2017, they founded Boundless VR and became a Stereolithography Mechanical Engineering Intern at Formlabs. In 2018, they became the Founder and CEO of EKTO VR.

Brad Factor received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University between 2004 and 2008. Brad then went on to obtain a Master of Robotic System Development from Carnegie Mellon University between 2016 and 2017. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Machine Learning from Coursera in August 2017, Introduction to Thermodynamics: Transferring Energy from Here to There from Coursera Course Certificates in December 2015, Engineering Systems in Motion: Dynamics of Particles and Bodies in 2D Motion from Coursera Verified Certificates in October 2015, and a Professional Engineering License - Electrical Engineer from the State of Arizona Board of Technical Registration in January 2015.
