El Faro was founded in 1998 as Latin America’s first online-only newspaper. 
It currently publishes in Spanish through its website, radio, social media and mobile platforms.
An independent and audacious voice within El Salvador, El Faro offers in-depth investigative journalism, striking photos, podcasts, political analyses, interviews, videos, and other elements which have made it a reference point for quality reporting in the Central American region.
The brand is currently undergoing a complete re-design to upgrade its news delivery and incorporate new sections and platforms to better serve its readership.
